In 2018 the United Republic of Tanzania ranked at place of 153 in the World Happiness Report of the United Nations. While taking the 4th place from the bottom, the younger generation which represent 44% of the population in the country, is full of ambitions and hope for a better future

 

Last September I traveled to Tanzania as part of a group of volunteers. We arrived to elementary school in the town of Mwika at the Kilimanjaro region. Our aim was to teach and empower younglings as well as renovate a part of the school facilities

 

During my stay, I documented students between the ages 6-13. In these  images I chose to represent the value of happiness through the eyes of children. Regardless of what are the conditions, they showed me that this value is much broader than the numbers in a report
